Now that many countries are industrialized and consume an abundance of non renewable energy, we are starting to see the effects and harm that this is causing our environment. The most common one being global warming, this streams into many other problems such as melting glaciers, death and extinction of many species, abnormal weather and many other problems.
Global warming takes place after fossil fuels and other non renewable energy sources are used. These substances release carbon dioxide into the air and cause a greenhouse effect, which is where heat can not escape. According to these sites I’ve listed below, glaciers are melting ten times faster than normal which will cause sea levels to rise. The off set of balance in the atmosphere and abundance of heat will also cause drastic temperatures and unfathomable storms and weather. This will affect our generation, and we are already beginning to see the harmful affects around the world, especially in the North East.
By using alternative renewable resources such as solar, wind, geothermal.and bioenergy, we could slow down and change this dangerous and growing problem that we face. However, if we keep ignoring the science and the signs, there will surely be disaster for the future.
